Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism
The Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolic Medicine Section based at the St Mary's campus in Paddington is headed by Professor Desmond Johnston. The section has a wide range of research interests and is supported by dedicated laboratories and a GC:MS facility.

Teaching
In addition to clinical teaching in Endocrinology and General Medicine, the Section organises three BSc modules in Molecular Endocrinology and Metabolism, Endocrine-Related Cancer and The Aetiology & Pathogenesis of Type 2 Diabetes. There are MD and PhD opportunities for clinical and non-clinical staff on a regular basis.
