The strategic aim of the CCIR is to understand the mechanisms of inflammation and the role of complement in human disease.

CCIR expertise includes in vivo experimental model systems, renal pathology, the immunology of autoimmunity and complement genetics. Research funding sources include the Wellcome Trust, Arthritis Research UK, Kidney Research UK and the UK Biomedical Research Council.

We interface with the Imperial AHSC Lupus Centre to drive translational aspects of our research themes.
