The strategic objectives of the Lupus Centre are:

To deliver a state of the art integrated clinical service for patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (lupus) within the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust with an emphasis on innovative treatments.

To facilitate advances in lupus care through the development of clinical trials and translational research projects.  We have pioneered steroid-free treatment regimes for lupus kidney disease. We also have a long-standing interest in complement and lupus

For patients:

We are a group of hospital doctors and nurses that share a common interest in caring for patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (lupus) within the NHS. Our West London Lupus Centre is located within the Hammersmith Hospital Campus of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust . Lupus can affect many different parts of the body and our aim is to provide all aspects of specialist care that an individual with lupus may require. To obtain an appointment at the Lupus Centre you only require a referral letter from your general practitioner (GP) or hospital specialist.  

For general practitioners and hospital specialists:

Specialist expertise within the Lupus Centre includes Rheumatology, Renal Medicine, Haematology, Dermatology, Obstetric Medicine, Neurology and Ophthalmology. Please send all referral letters to the Lupus Centre Administration.
