Clinical Research Fellowships in Infectious Diseases and Microbiology at Hammersmith

The Department of Infectious Diseases based at Hammersmith has an outstanding record of supporting both junior and more senior staff to obtain personal fellowship support from the major charities including the Wellcome Trust, The Medical Research Council and NIHR. 

Training Fellows are drawn from doctors interested in Infectious Diseases and also from a broad range of other specialties including respiratory medicine, renal medicine, intensive care and neurology where individuals have particular interest in Infection.  If you are interested in learning more about your options, do not hesitate to get in touch with one of the senior members of staff or make a generic enquiry to Prof Jon Friedland.

The list below includes Training Fellowships, Career Development Fellowships, Advanced Training Fellowships and Senior Fellowships.  Several people have successfully obtained a series of Fellowships.                

The success of the Fellows is reflected in the fact that now 6 have become Professors, 2 are Readers and 10 hold Senior Lecturer / Consultant or equivalent posts.
