Update in Infectious Diseases 2007

The 2007 Update in Infectious Diseases was held on 19th & 20th March 2007. The course included an excellent range of international and national speakers, including Dr Joe Keane, Trinity College Dublin and Prof. Jan Kluytmans, Amphia Hospital, Netherlands.

Programme was supported by an unrestricted educational grant from Merck Sharp & Dohme

Update in Infectious Diseases 2006

The 2006 course included international leader in their fields namely Prof Didier Pittet (Swizerland) and Prof William Powderly (Ireland).   Other eminent speakers included Prof Graham Rook (University College London), Prof Jon Cohen (Brighton and Sussex), Prof Maria Zambon (HPA).  Amongst local speakers were 2 Fellows of the The Royal Society Prof Brian Spatt and Prof Geoff Smith.

Topic subjects included:

The threat from avian influenza

Emerging infections

Global perspectives in infection control'.
