The map is a representation of the features in the EBVwt sequence. To make EBVwt, some corrections were made to the original B95-8 EBV sequence (V01555), the number of IR1 internal repeat units was decreased and Raji EBV sequence was inserted to restore the B95-8 deletion (de Jesus et al J. Gen. Virol. 84: 1443-1450, 2003).
The EBVwt sequence and annotation has accession number AJ507799. An additional, more systematic annotation of this sequence (by Andrew Davison and Paul Farrell) has now become the RefSeq HHV4 (EBV) sequence; that annotation is available at accession number NC_007605.
Additional EBV sequences have been reported recently:
Dolan et al, Virology 350: 164-70 (2006) published AG876 EBV (a type 2 isolate, DQ279927)
Zeng et al, J Virol. 79:15323-30 (2005) published the GD1 isolate from China (AY961628).
