Facilities and Contact Details

The Imaging and Robotics group is located in the new Surgical Technology Laboratory within the Department of Biosurgery and Surgical Technology on the 10th Floor of the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother (QEQM) wing, St Mary’s Campus at Paddington and Level 3 of the Huxley Building, South Kensington Main Campus. This distribution amongst two sites facilitates the collaborative work between the faculties of Medicine and Engineering and help to attract science and engineering students into this new and expanding discipline. Amongst the facilities available in the new laboratory are a visualisation studio for large scale visualisation and VR simulations, a virtual operating theatre, several desktop VR systems and haptic devices, and most of the commercially available surgical and endoscopy simulators.
