Transmission Dynamics of Antigenically Variable Pathogens

This project focuses on better understanding how diseases which have many different variants (strains) evolve and spread within human populations – and how their evolution is shaped by the complex competition between human immune ‘memory’ and the mutability of viruses.

Understanding Human Mobility and the Relationship to Disease Spread

The purpose of this work is to understand and build parsimonious models of travel patterns in human populations for the purpose of better elucidating the role of travel the geographic spread of respiratory (and other) pathogens.

Global Epidemic Simulator

This project involves developing a software platform to simulate the emergence and spread of new infectious disease epidemics around the globe.
