Faculty Fellowships Ceremony and guest lecture 2009

The Faculty Fellowships Ceremony took place on Thursday 5 November 2009 with a special guest lecture ‘Challenges for Clinical Trials Today’ by Professor Janet Darbyshire, who was also a recipient.
A drinks reception followed the lecture and awards presentation and was accompanied by music from the Imperial Quartet.
The recipients of a Faculty Fellowship were:
- Professor Janet Darbyshire, Joint Director of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Clinical Research Networks Coordinating Centre, and Director of the Medical Research Council Clinical Trials Unit.
- Professor Dame Sally Davies, Director General of Research and Development and Chief Scientific Adviser for the Department of Health and NHS.
- Professor Hans Clevers, Director of the Hubrecht Institute for Developmental Biology and Stem Cell Research, Utrecht, The Netherlands.
