Anna Phillips joined the Schistosomiasis Control Initiative (SCI) in February 2009 as a programme manager in several countries in Francophone West Africa. Her main responsability is to assist with the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the control programme, which involves the assessment of drug needs at district level, the development, production and dissemination of communication materials, as well as the collection and analysis of baseline and follow-up data. Anna finished her PhD this year (2009) at Imperial College London, where she focused on the sexual behaviour among sexual minorities in Southern India, as part the Avahan HIV initiative.
