Dr Adaikalavan Ramasamy

My main application areas are in applied biostatistics, epidemiology, statistical computing, bioinformatics, statistical genomics and statistical genetics. My main research and expertise lies in the meta-analysis of gene expression microarray datasets and genome-wide association datasets. I have a growing interest in identifying gene-environment interactions.

I participate and contribute in various international genetics consortiums to investigate the genetic components of respiratory symptoms, allergy and lung function measures as well as the various gene-environment effects. I currently co-chair two such genetics consortiums.
