Miss Amy Lewis
Amy is a postgraduate research student in the Muscle Gene Expression group, Molecular Medicine, National Heart and Lung Institute.
She graduated with a first class (hons) in Biology with Microbiology from Imperial College London and was awarded a 4-year BBSRC doctoral training grant in 2007.
Amy undertook her current position under the primary supervision of Dr.P.Kemp in 2008, following completion of an MRes in Biomedical Research within the section of Molecular Medicine.
Her current research focuses on the transcriptional regulation of muscle phenotype and how these mechanisms apply to skeletal muscle dysfunction in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
