Emilie Pothin
I am currently pursuing a PhD in mathematical modelling of Malaria in the Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology.
My current work combines mathematical models and statistical methods in order to describe serology data as a means of estimating malaria transmission intensity. The main focus of my research is to develop a density model for seroprevalence data with the prospective of extending this model in order to specifically characterize Plasmodium Vivax. Ultimately I will take into consideration mixed infection and have a special interest for cross immunity and understanding within host competition.
