Miss Elizabeth Richards
Elizabeth is currently researching for a PhD at the NHLI, looking into the molecular mechanisms involved in resistance to chemotherapy in lung cancer using high resolution genomic techniques.
She completed her undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences at Newnham College, Cambridge University, where she specialised in pathology and genetics. She then did an MSc in Human Molecular Genetics at Imperial College London before starting her PhD in October 2009, funded by an NHLI Foundation studentship awarded to her earlier in the year.
