Professor Eric O. Aboagye
Eric Aboagye is Director of the CRUK-EPSRC-MRC-NIHR Comprehensive Cancer Imaging Centre and head of the CSC Molecular Therapy group. He joined the college after a PhD at the CRUK Beatson Laboratories and post-doc fellowship at Johns Hopkins. His group is interested in discovery and development of new methods for experimental and clinical cancer molecular imaging. He was recipient of the 2009 Sir Mackenzie Davidson Medal and has acted as an advisor to GE-Healthcare, GSK, Roche and Novartis.
Professor Eric Aboagye was recently (June 2010) elected as a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences. Academy Fellows are elected for outstanding contributions to the advancement of medical science, for innovative application of scientific knowledge or for conspicuous service to healthcare.
