Dr Graham P Easton
Graham is a general practitioner in west London, and Deputy Director of Primary Care Education at Imperial College School of Medicine. He is the educational supervisor for the academic F2 programme based in the Department of Primary Care and Public Health.
Graham's special interests are medical education and science communication. His medical training was at The Royal London Hospital and then on the Oxford Region training scheme for general practice. He has a Master’s degree with distinction in Science Communication from Imperial College, London, and is currently undertaking a Doctorate in Education (EdD) at the Institute of Education in London. He is currently doing observational research into how medical teachers use narratives in their teaching.
Graham is also an experienced medical journalist: he was senior producer and presenter in the BBC Science Unit for ten years, presenting Radio 4’s medical programme Case Notes and a range of science and medical programmes across Radio 4, 5 and World Service. He was also an editor at the British Medical Journal for four years, where he edited the medical education section. He is currently on the editorial boards of the British Journal of General Practice and Education for Primary Care.
