Mrs Hridayanayaki Daby
Originally from Mauritius, I joined the Division of Epidemiology Public Health and Primary Care at Imperial College London in July 2004.
I have designed and developed the Imperial database environment, ensuring access to the Dr Foster at Imperial’s data by maintaining the availability, performance and integrity of the production and backup databases.
I have replicated the Hospital Episodes Statistics (HES) system (designed by North Gate Information Solutions) on the Imperial System. I am responsible for the production, maintenance and the operational efficiency of Imperial’s large health datasets including - Hospital Episodes Statistics for Inpatients data from Year 1996 (130,000,000 records) and Outpatient data as from Year 2003 (200,000,000 records), ONS mortality data for Year 2000 – Year 2004, Population Data, Mosaic UK data and various miscellaneous data from other sources.
Most recently, I have incorporated other Hospital Episodes Statistics (Scotland/Wales/Northern Ireland) and have mapped their data to English formats which required completely new data structures, cleaning routines and data derivations.
