Welcome!
I am a PhD student in the Global eHealth Unit. Please read below a little more about me and my research.
Background
I joined Imperial in April 2010 whilst completing my MSc. My work at the Global eHealth Unit included systematic reviews on telephone consultation for HIV/AIDS care and integrating prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) of HIV with other health services.
My previous qualifications are a BSc in Biomedical Sciences and a MSc in Health Technology Assessment (HTA), both from Radboud University Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Part of my MSc (consultancy profile) was a minor in International Health, for which I undertook a public health internship in Tanzania. I have been involved in a qualitative study on a large pregnancy cohort study in the Netherlands.
Current research
My doctoral research focuses on the adoption of mHealth in China. Currently, my work involves a systematic review on mobile phone messaging for HIV/AIDS services, three Cochrane Collaboration systematic reviews on telephone consultation for HIV/AIDS care and a systematic review on the use of apps for diabetes self-care. I am supervised by Dr Josip Car, director of the Global eHealth Unit.
About me
I spent most of my spare time travelling and dancing (especially salsa and tango). Also I enjoy wall climbing, surfing and scuba diving.
