Holly Callaghan

Holly Callaghan is a PhD student working under the supervision of Dr Laki Buluwela and Professor Simak Ali in the Department of Surgery and Cancer at the Hammersmith Hospital campus.

Holly undertook her undergraduate studies at Manchester University and graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Microbiology with Industrial Experience in 2008. During this time she completed a year long industrial placement in the Molecular and Cellular Biology group at Cardiff University. In 2010 Holly was awarded a 4-year studentship funded by the MRC at Imperial College and undertook the MSc in Molecular Medicine which she was awarded with distinction. 

Holly started her PhD in 2011. The overall aim of her PhD project is to investigate the role of the nuclear receptor LRH-1 in estrogen responsive breast cancer.
