Ms Juliet R Allibone

Juliet Allibone is the Head of Operations for the Centre for Infection Prevention and Management .  The Centre is a UKCRC initative which aims to integrate infection prevention into healthcare delivery which it is doing in a multidisciplinary and multi-professional way by looking at Innovation adoption, behaviour change, new diagnostics, health surveillance and capacity building through education. 

Juliet is responsible for all the functions involved in running the  Centre including recruitment, funding, staff management, administration and reporting. She maintains an overview of all  the individual activities and monitors progress in each of the  work-streams.  Juliet is assisted by the Centre’s team  secretary Rachel Wood and is based at the Hammersmith Campus in the Infectious Disease and Immunity Section.

 Background

Juliet Allibone has worked at Imperial College for just over 10 years having been recruited in the first intake of the College’s prestigious Management Training Scheme- at the time the only one in the sector.  During the scheme Juliet worked to the directors of Central Administrative functions, including the Central Secretariat, HR, Finance, Estates, Registry and the Deputy Rector’s Office.  Following an academic placement in the Division of Investigative Science she subsequently took the role of Centre Manager for the Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine Centre based at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital under Professor Dame Julia Polak.  She then worked for 5 years as the Deputy Divisional Manager (HR) for the Division of Investigative Science. 

 Juliet studied History at UCL and has an MA in Personnel and Development.  She is a graduate member of the Chartered Institute of Personal and Development.
