Ms Jessica Vasiliou
Jessica Vasiliou is a PhD student in the Leukocyte Biology section at the National Heart and Lung Institute (NHLI).
Prior to this Jessica completed a BSc in Veterinary Science at the Royal Veterinary College. During this time Jessica was one of only 2 BSc students chosen to spend her final year studying Veterinary Pathology alongside Veterinary Medicine students.
Jessica is currently working on the maternal transmission of asthma to the neonate, under the supervision of Professor Clare Lloyd, Professor Catherine Hawrylowicz and Dr Sejal Saglani.
Jessica’s main research focus is to determine the influence and mechanisms that environmental factors may play during pregnancy and lactation on the development of asthma in the neonate.
