Dr Lisa Gregory
Lisa Gregory is a Research Associate at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London.
Dr Gregory studied for her degree in Pharmacology at Manchester University. Subsequently she spent a year at the University of Nevada, Reno, USA gaining further useful laboratory experience. She obtained a PhD in Molecular Toxicology from the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics, Aberdeen University. During my PhD, Dr Gregory received the Frederic DiCarlo Award for Predoctoral Research – ISSX 1999 and was Highly Commended at the Pfizer Poster Symposium 1999.
Dr Gregory subsequently took up a postdoctoral position at Imperial College London within Professor Charles Coutelles' Gene Therapy research group and have published several papers on viral vector gene delivery for the treatment of cystic fibrosis and Duchenne muscular dystophy in adult and fetal mice and sheep.
In her current post working with Professor Clare Lloyd in the Leukocyte Biology section of the Institute, she is studying murine models of airway remodeling and asthma with a particular focus on epithelial gene-environment interactions.
