Ms Merrilee Briggs

Merrilee Briggs is a research nurse conducting the DOCTOR trial and funded by the Imperial College Healthcare Charity. The DOCTOR trial aims to test the efficacy of the Design Bugs Out hospital ward furniture that is desgined to be easy to clean and difficult to contaminate. 

Merrilee studied nursing at Nottingham University and completed a BSc. Merrilee has worked as a staff nurse at St. George's hospital before coming to work in the Clinical Safety Research Unit (CSRU), part of the Centre for Patient Safety & Service Quality (CPSSQ) within the Department of Surgery and Cancer at Imperial College London.

Merrilee has an interest in the role of new technologies in infection prevention & control research. Merrilee is supervised by Mr. Oliver Anderson and Prof. George Hanna and Prof. Charles Vincent.
