Dr Michael Debney

Mike Debney is a Cardiology Specialist Registrar and Clinical Research Fellow at the National Heart and Lung Institute (NHLI), with an interest in Cardiac Electrophysiology.

He graduated from Imperial College School of Medicine in 2006 with merit in Medicine and Surgery finals having previously obtained a 2:1 (Hons) in an intercalated BSc in Cardiovascular Sciences. He went on to complete Foundation Year and Core Medical training within the NW Thames region before commencing higher specialist training in August 2010.

In October 2011 he joined the Cardiac Electrophysiology Research group to study for a PhD; focusing on the influence of gap junction modulation on ventricular arrhythmogenesis and infarct border zone morphology in various models of cardiac ischaemia.
