Dr Martin A Glasser

Martin Glasser is a Clinical Research Fellow, studing for a PhD at the National Heart and Lung Institute.

Martin qualified from Imperial College School of Medicine in 2004. He worked as a Medical SHO on the Hammersmith rotation and at St Mary’s. He then spent 9 months as a trainee in anaesthesia and intensive care, before becoming a respiratory registrar at St Mary’s and Chase Farm Hospitals.

Martin is studying the effects of obstructive sleep apnoea on the brain. Specifically investigating whether any neuroanatomical defects are seen on MRI scans of patients with OSA and whether these are linked to poor performance in cognitive tests sensitive to the region of brain with the defect.
