Prof Michael A Laffan

 

 Michael Laffan is Professor of Haemostasis and Thrombosis in the departmen of haematology.He trained in medicine at the University of Oxford and trained in haematology at the Hammersmith and Royal Free hospitals. His principal research interests are the structure function relationship of von Willebrand factor, in particular the role of glycosylation, and the mechanisms and regulation of thrombin generation. He is director of the Hammersmith Hospital Haemophilia centre and is responsible for  postgraduate education in haematology. He is an associate editor of Haematologica.
