Mr Nigel Buck

Nigel Buck became the Faculty Operating Officer for the Faculty of Medicine at imperial College London in June 2010.

He is directly responsible to the Faculty Principal, Professor Sir Anthony Newman  Taylor (http://www1.imperial.ac.uk/medicine/people/a.newmant/)  for leading the administration of the Faculty and delivering operational efficiency across the administrative activities.  He is also responsible for ensuring proper governance and that procedures are in place.  He manages and coordinates with Support Services and other administrative support groups and is responsble for change management in the Faculty.

He is a member of the Singapore Project Board (http://www.imperial.ac.uk/medicine/teaching/singapore) and other Faculty Committees.

Prior to joining the College, Mr Buck held posts with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, the Royal College of Anaesthetists,  the Medical Research Council, and the Royal Postgraduate Medical School (which became part of the College in 1997) supporting academic services, commercial exploitation and planning.  During his time at Imperial Mr Buck has worked on a broad range of projects and has most recently been responsible for plans for the purchase and development of the College’s new campus on Wood Lane, London W12.
