Dr Natascia Crispino
Natascia Crispino is an Honorary Clinical Research Fellow in the Respiratory Pharmacology group, National Heart and Lung Institute.
Natascia graduated as Doctor of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Medicine of Reggio Calabria, Catanzaro, Italy in 1997. After graduation, Natascia was employed as resident of The Department of Respiratory Medicine, Policlinico “Mater Domini” taking part in all clinical activities including outpatient clinics and ward rounds, managing patients with bronchial asthma, COPD and pulmonary fibrosis. Natascia was also trained to perform lung function tests and bronchial challenges with methacholine, distilled water and induced sputum procedures at the Department of Pulmonary Pathophysiology.
During this time, Natascia worked towards a specialist degree in Respiratory Medicine at the University of Medicine, ‘Magna Graecia’, Catanzarro, Italy, and her final year was spent at the Respiratory Pharmacology Group, at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London, under Professor Maria Belvisi’s direction.
After completion of her specialist degree in 2002, Natascia continued working in the Respiratory Pharmacology group. In 2003, Natascia studied for a Ph.D at the University of Naples, Italy, whilst maintaining an Honorary position at the Respiratory Pharmacology group at Imperial College London.
In 2006, Natascia graduated as Doctor in Oncologia Toracica at the University of Naples, then became the Medical Respiratory Advisor at Pfizer in Italy until 2009. Natascia is currently the Medical Scientific Liaison PBVU at Pfizer in Italy.
