Ms Rebecca Ghosh

I am a full-time PhD student jointly with the Department of Occupational and Environmental Medicine under the supervision of Prof. Paul Cullinan and Dr Debbie Jarvis.  My PhD is called "Asthma and occupation in the 1958 Birth Cohort".  My PhD is looking at the associations between asthma and other allergic diseases and occupational exposures.  We are also investigating the employment histories of people with asthma in order to compare it to those without asthma.  Part of my PhD makes use of Job exposures matrices and is investigating the methodology of using these in population-based epidemiological studies.

In 2004 I obtained a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science and Development Studies at the University of Sussex and in 2007 I completed an MSc in Public Health (Environment and Health) at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
