Ms Ramyani P Gupta

I am a statistician with several years' experience in respiratory and allergic epidemiology.  I am also interested in making complex data accessible to wider audiences including clinicians, charities and the lay public.

Previously I worked for the Lung and Asthma Information Agency collating and disseminating data on trends in GP contacts, admissions and mortality both nationally and internationally.  I was a member of the National Allergy Advisory Group for the Department of Health and have contributed to several national reports on the epidemiology of allergy and respiratory disease in the UK including the the Burden of Lung Disease II for the British Thoracic Society.

I am currently working in the NHLI Respiratory Epidemiology Group conducting a systematic review of the worldwide prevalence of COPD for the WHO Global Burden of Disease project.
