Professor Robert Smith, a Past President of ISSX, is Chairman of the Expert Panel of the Flavor and Extract Manufacturers' Association, USA,a member of the Expert Panel of the Research Institute for Fragrance Materials,USA, and Scientific Adviser to the Horserace Betting Levy Board, U.K. He is a past member of the Committee for Safety of Medicines and has been awarded the Sir William Paton Prize of the British Toxicology Society for the discovery of the human debrisoquine hydroxylation polymorphism.
