I am a Commonwealth Split-Site Doctoral Scholar, an exchange PG research student at Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology, Imperial College London under Prof. Neil M Ferguson as my UK supervisor. I am affiliated with Department of Statistics, Karnatak University, India, Pursuing my PhD in Statistics. My area of research is mathematical and statistical modeling of infectious disease epidemiology  and its optimal control policy.

The main focus of my research is to understand the desease dynamics through: Stochastic modeling and statistical inference of the outbreak; Estimation of reproduction number and other model parameters via time-series modelling and sequencial Bayesian framework.

I am now working on developing stochastic simulations of pandemic influenza (2009, in India), with the aim of determining how the effectiveness of containment and mitigation policies depends on disease severity.
