Dr Silvia Liverani

I am a Leverhulme Early Career Research Fellow in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the School of Public Health.

Before joining Imperial College, I was a Brunel Fellow in the Mathematics Department of the University of Bristol, funded by the SuSTaIn initiative.

I have completed my PhD under the supervision of Prof. Jim Smith. During my postgraduate studies I worked on Bayesian clustering algorithms, in collaboration with the Millar Lab (University of Edinburgh) and the Observatoire Ocenealogique of Banyuls-de-mer.

I completed my first degree in the Department of Statistics of the University of Florence (Italy) in 2005. The title of my final project was "Graphical Gaussian Models in R", supervised by Prof. Giovanni Marchetti. In 2006 I completed the MSc in Statistics at the University of Warwick with a dissertation titled "Particle Filters and Adaptive Estimation", supervised by Dr. Anastasia Papavasiliou.

More generally, my interests extend to many aspects of Bayesian analysis.

More about me on my webpage.
