Sunniyat Rahman

Sunniyat Rahman is a postgraduate researcher investigating the epigenetic mechanisms of carcinogenesis upon exposure to the environmental toxicant arsenic. His research is supervised by Dr. Nabil Hajji and funded by an MRC-HPA scholarship in pursuit of a PhD.

Sunniyat Rahman is also a member of the MRC-HPA Centre for Environment and Health (www.environment-health.ac.uk).

As an undergraduate, he read Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry at the University of Oxford (Queen’s), and wrote his masters’ dissertation on novel targets for the transcription factor FOXP1 involved implicated in lymphomagenic pathways.
