Miss Sarah J Harman

Sarah has 10 years experience of performing pre-clinical evaluation of microbicides in various models of HIV-1 infection. She has extensive experience in the use of ex vivo tissue explant systems, particularly cervical, rectal and penile tissue explants.  Her current research focuses on the characterization of entry inhibitors.

Sarah also manages operations for the group of Mucosal Infection & Immunity, and acts as Professor Shattock's assistant.

She holds a BSc (Hons) in Cellular & Molecular Pathology and Microbiology from the University of Bristol.
