Mrs Seema M Vekaria

Seema Vekaria is the Laboratory Manager/Departmental Safety Officer for Respiratory Infections Section, National Lung and Heart Institute (NHLI), Imperial College London. 

Seema completed her Bsc Hons in Genetics at Queen Mary University London in 2004. Prior to joining the National Lung and Heart Institute (NHLI), Imperial College London in October  2006 she worked for two years at the St George’s Hospital Medical School, University Of London as a Research Technician. In 2009 she gained her NEBOSH certificate and in March 2010 she joined Respiratory Infections section as Laboratory Manager. 

In her current role Seema manages the laboratories and laboratory services for Respiratory Infections section. In particular she has responsibility for the management of Health and Safety within Respiratory Infections section and to provide expertise, advice and support to the Head of Section, Principal Investigators and all other staff and students in Respiratory Infections section.
