Mr Thomas Leja

Thomas obtained his BSc (Hons) in Medical Sciences with Molecular Medicine at University College London before moving to Imperial College London to undertake the MRes in Nanomaterials.

In 2008, he was awarded a 4-year studentship by the British Heart Foundation Centre of Research Excellence with which he is currently studying for a PhD.

His research focuses on the dynamics of genetic networks regulating cardiopoiesis in embryonic stem cells. He is jointly supervised by Professor Michael D. Schneider (NHLI) and Dr Mauricio Barahona (Bioengineering).
