The focus of our project is to analyse proteins from tissues or blood samples obtained from patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension in the aim of discovering potential diagnostic or prognostic biomarkers. We use mass spectrometry based proteomics platform such as surface enhanced laser desorption-ionisation time of flight mass spectrometry (SELDI-TOF MS) and liquid chromatography - linear ion trap mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) for profiling and identifying the proteins.
