Miss Zhifang Ni

 

Background

Melody studied Applied Mathematics in Tongji University, in Shanghai China and later Decision Sciences at the London School of Economics. Her PhD thesis investigated how time affects decision making. Her current research focuses on improving decision making in health. 

Past Project

In 2007-2009, Melody worked on a research project aimed at developing safety guidelines for the insertion of nasogastric feeding tubes. This is joint work with Prof George Hanna, Prof Larry Phillips and Mr Oliver Priest.

Current project

Since 2009, Melody has worked on the educational research within the National Training Programme (http://www.lapco.nhs.uk/),  aiming at improving teaching and learning of laparoscopic colorectal surgery for consultant surgeons. This is joint work with Prof George Hanna, Mr Danilo Miskovic, Ms Susannah Wyles and Mr Hugh Mackenzie.
