Influenza
H1N1 (2009) Influenza
The Centre modelled the H1N1 (2009) influenza outbreak in real-time and influenced international health policy with its findings.
Pandemic Flu in the EU
The overarching objective of this project is to address the need for the development of coherent, evidence-based and publicly acceptable policy, planning and response procedures to mitigate the potentially devastating public health impacts of the next influenza pandemic in Europe.
Pandemic Flu in China
This collaborative project between China CDC and Imperial College London aims to provide the evidence to decision makers in China as to what strategies and measures should be implemented to contain the early spread of a flu pandemic.
Seasonal Flu in the US
This project integrates inter-pandemic patterns of spatial spread and dynamics of genetic and antigenic evolution of influenza A types for the purpose of analysing historical illness, mortality, and strain surveillance data collated by the Influenza Division of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
Pandemic Flu and the World Health Organisation
During the 2009 Influenza A pandemic, the Centre worked closely with the World Health Organization to inform the global pandemic response through real-time epidemiologic analysis of the emerging outbreak and to provide an evidence base for policy recommendations to mitigate impacts of the pandemic.
