CIMPP 3rd Annual Symposium 2010

The Centre for Integrative Mammalian Physiology and Pharmacologoy will be holding its 3rd Annual National Symposium on Tuesday 28 September 2010.


Keynote Speakers:
Michael White, Department of Biological Sciences, University of Liverpool and Richard Knowles, GlaxoSmithKline.

Symposium 1 which will be Chaired by Waljit Dhillo will be on "novel techniques for genetic manipulation in vivo"
Speakers:
James Gardiner, Department of Medicine, Imperial College London 
Giles Yeo, Metabolic Research Labs,  University of Cambridge
Werner Muller,  Faculty of Life Science, University of Manchester

Symposium 2
, which will be Chaired by Prof Maria Belvisi, will be on "new technologies and the study of mammalian systems in vivo"

Alexander Gourine,  Department of Neuroscience, Physiology and Pharmacology, University College London
Daniel Anthony,  Department of Pharmacology, University of Oxford
Tim Aitman, Clinical Sciences  Centre, Imperial College London
Kenneth Harris,  Department of Bioengineering, Imperial College London

The Symposium will also include short presentations from the CIMPP PhD students, which will be judged by a panel of experts and by the audience, as well as poster viewing, judging and prize giving.

Please note that places for the symposium are limited and that attendance will be allowed by invitation only. If you wish to attend, please send an email in the first instance to cimppadmin@imperial.ac.uk indicating whether you wish to submit an abstract.  Closing date for abstract submission is 12.00 noon on Tuesday 31 August 2010.
