Viral variation and pathogenesis of chronic viral hepatitis

The group are studying the role of:

• quasispecies variation in determining interferon response, and extrahepatic sites of replication  in chronic hepatitis C, and
• hepatitis B variants in vaccine escape and fulminant hepatitis
