Malaria Tools

Malaria Tools is a user-interface to our combined intervention model for P.falciparum malaria which is described in detail in the accompanying publication.

The model can be used to explore the impact of bednets, indoor residual spraying, mass treatment, IPTi and a pre-erythrocytic vaccine on transmision. Various options are available to define the coverage, start-time and properties of each of these interventions. At present, scenarios are restricted to the six settings considered in the publication.

Future releases will allow broader runs as well as user-defined inputs.

The software can be installed on PCs running Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7 platforms.

Please note that this is a Beta version that is intended to reproduce the simulations presented in the accompanying publication. Updates will be provided on this website.

The simulation model was programmed by Jamie Griffin, and the user-interface by Danail Stoyanov.
