John Humphrey Seminar Series

The John Humphrey Seminar Series at Imperial College is a prestigious lecture programme honouring the contribution made by John Humphrey.

John Humphrey was a pioneer in cellular immunology and immunotherapy. He was also a founding member of the British Society for Immunology. John Humphrey spent many years in the 1970's as Chair of Immunology at Hammersmith Hospital. Prior to that, he was attached to the National Institute of Medical Research (NIMR) at Mill Hill, London for almost thirty years. Whilst at NIMR he was instrumental in founding the first immunology group.

The John Humphrey Seminar Series at Imperial College therefore aims to invite experts in the field of immunology and infectious diseases whose work, like that of John Humphrey, has made significant contribution to the world of infection and immunity.

The lectures take place every Thursday, starting at 1pm, and are held in the Wolfson Conference Centre at the Hammersmith Hospital Campus. The audience consists mostly of immunologists, infectious disease scientists and students. All interested parties are free to attend.

Attendees are encouraged to interact with speakers. Anyone requiring to see the speaker after the seminar may contact the seminar organisers through the following contacts:
