Infectious Diseases Update 2009
Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th March 2009 at the Hammersmith Hospital, London
The Department of Infectious Diseases and Immunity at Imperial College London presents this two-day course focussing on best practice in infection management, research methods, and development of the specialist antimicrobial pharmacist role. Designed with the Department of Pharmacy at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, specifically for pharmacists and other ID professionals, the programme will cover a wide range of current topics including:
- Clostridium difficile
- MRSA
- Vaccination
- Bone infection
- ESBLs
- Surgical and medical prophylaxis
- Pulmonary infections
- Soft tissue infections

- Antivirals
- Auditing to DH and Healthcare Commission standards
