Gene expression profiles of activated T cells

This study has been undertaken in collaboration with Dr Paul Lyons (Cambridge Institute of Medical Research) and Dr Tom Freeman (MRC Human Genome Mapping Project, Hinxton).  We have discovered unique expression profiles arising from acute and chronic TNF-R engagement, which have provided an experimental and molecular framework for investigating how the inflammatory response may become chronic in vivo.  We plan to utilise this and related approaches to investigate profiles of gene expression following TCR engagement under conditions which resemble those at sites of inflammation in vivo.
