T cell activation in chronic inflammation

This project seeks to explore how the inflammatory process uncouples T cell antigen receptor signal transduction pathways.  Using a model of T cell activation in chronic inflammation we have identified a number of molecular targets whose expression and function are perturbed by sustained engagement of TNF-R.  These include integral membrane signalling subunits and adaptor proteins, and transcription factors involved in the regulation of cytokine gene expression.
