Visiting the Department

By Bus

Buses nos. 190, 220, 211 and 295 stop in Fulham Palace Road, in front of Charing Cross Hospital, the Reynolds Building is situated at the rear of the hospital.

By Tube

To Barons Court taking the Piccadilly or District Line.
Turn right coming out of Barons Court Station and immediately right again into Margravine Gardens. Cross the road and enter the Hammersmith Cemetery. Follow the path, then take right turn at the flowerbed roundabout and walk for 3 minutes towards the gates. As you exit the cemetery you will notice the Reynolds Building straight across the road.  The entrance is on the left via the car park.

If travelling via Paddington Station it is quicker to take the Hammersmith & City line to Hammersmith.
Cross the Broadway into the Shopping Centre and then the underpass (follow signs for Charing Cross Hospital). Walk down Fulham Palace Road for 5 minutes until your reach the hospital. Turn left into St. Dunstan’s Road - you will pass the A&E and the radiotherapy dept. The Reynolds Building is on the right.

By Air

From Heathrow Airport

Take the Underground train (Piccadilly Line) to Barons Court station (50 minutes travelling time).

From Gatwick Airport

Take a British Rail train to Victoria station (journey time 40 minutes) and then by Underground train (District Line; westbound) to Barons Court station.

Both airports are some distance from central London and a taxi is not recommended for the whole journey. However, if you have to do so, establish the cost before you get in.

Car Parking

Car parking at the Charing Cross Campus is limited. Visitors to the Department who require parking between 7.30am and 6.00pm should notify their hosts in advance as notice must be given to the Services Manager.

There is street parking on a pay and display basis (9.00am to 5.00pm) in the vicinity of the Charing Cross campus but finding a space may be difficult.
