19 Sep 2011
This week, the WHO Collaborating Centre for Public Health Education and Training is delighted to welcome delegates from all member states of the Gulf Co-operation Council (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Yemen) for an intensive training course in Advanced Leadership skills. Delegates are joined by members of the GCC executive and the Arab Administrative Development Organization (ARADO).
The course will provide participants with an understanding of how to lead on health issues, and the effective and efficient management of health systems, organisations, and services. Participants are enjoying a range of interactive sessions based on contemporary theories and extensive practical experience. These are designed to develop practical skills as well as leadership theory.
The WHO Collaborating Centre is delighted to be working with the GCC on this exciting collaboration, which will contribute to the development of health management at the highest level in the Gulf region.
