Dr Paul P Aylin
Clinical Reader in Epidemiology & Public Health
Paul Aylin is a Clinical Reader of Epidemiology and Public Health and assistant director of the Dr Foster Unit at Imperial. He trained in Public Health Medicine and his area of interest is health services research. He has worked on patient mortality at practice level for the Shipman Inquiry and investigated paediatric cardiac surgery at Bristol for the Bristol Inquiry.

Dr R Alex Bottle
Non-Clinical Lecturer in Medical Statistics
Alex is a lecturer in medical statistics and is the chief analyst within the Dr Foster Unit. His background is in epidemiology and statistics. Since secondment to the Shipman Inquiry, he developed the methodology behind the web-based national monitoring tools produced by Dr Foster Intelligence, widely used in the NHS.
